The Role and Team

The Enterprise Applications & Analytics team is part of corporate IT. It is responsible for supporting, developing, managing, and enhancing the set of enterprise applications, which are the platforms that deliver Medallia's business processes. The group focuses on engagement with the line of business to continue calibrating solutions that best fit Medallia's business needs. In addition, it focuses on designing, developing, and deploying an enterprise decision support system to provide enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities.


We work in a fast-paced environment and are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, managing multiple responsibilities and projects while producing high-quality work.


Medallia seeks a dynamic individual with a unique blend of business acumen and technical prowess. This role requires a strong foundation in the Salesforce.com platform and the ability to partner with various business lines to provide innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and innovation in developing new approaches for enterprise application integration, workflow automation, performance optimization, and overall solution management, particularly within the Salesforce platform.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various business units to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable Salesforce solutions.
  • Design and develop comprehensive Salesforce technical solutions and customizations that meet business needs effectively.
  • Experience bridging the gaps by providing development support as needed and contributing to the technical aspects of projects.
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making abilities by actively participating in solution discussions to provide valuable insights that significantly contribute to the success of projects.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders from diverse teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery within established timelines.
  • Foster open communication channels between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of project objectives and deliverablesDevelop and conduct rigorous testing of Salesforce solutions to ensure functionality, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Stay abreast of Salesforce's best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Build and demonstrate Sales Cloud solutions in Salesforce to support lead-to-cash processes.
  • Provide input on the future vision and strategy for Salesforce.
  • Define technology obstacles and create strategies to address them.
  • Identify application optimization, redesign, or development opportunities within the Salesforce platform that will support multiple business units.
  • Co-own and support the Business in system adoption.
  • Act as a promoter and driver of change, supporting business process improvement.
  • Design, develop, and maintain out-of-box functionality, configuration, setup, complex flows, workflow rules, validation rules, and custom developments.
  • Employ DevOps tools such as Copado, Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow to effectively manage the development lifecycle of every change within the Salesforce environment.
  • Leverage expert hands-on experience in Visualforce, Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Process Builder, Workflows, Java, C++, and architecture tools to develop solutions or enhance system performance and functionality.
  • Spearhead the integration and connection between Salesforce.com and other enterprise applications.
  • Ensure systems and processes comply with regulatory standards such as SOX, GDPR, 606, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Salesforce hands-on experience specific to Sales Cloud, administration, integration, configuration, enhancements, or similar.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce Sales Cloud hands-on experience (i.e., designing, developing, and maintaining complex business solutions within the application).
  • 2+ years experience with translating business requirements into technical/functional solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud capabilities and limitations paired with Salesforce.com architecture, design, and configuration skills.
  • Hands-on experience in several mid-sized, global implementations using Salesforce.
  • Experience working in a similar role for a SaaS company.
  • Strong understanding, hands-on experience, or exposure to how organizations leverage the Salesforce platform to achieve their lead-to-cash processes.
  • Exposure to Salesforce Lightning, VisualForce, APEX, Flows, Process Builder, Workflows, and Architecture topics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging CPQ and Billing expertise to seamlessly integrate and optimize these functionalities within Salesforce, enhancing overall business processes.
  • 6+ months of Revenue Cloud (CPQ - Configure, Price, Quote software & Billing) experience or exposure.
    Salesforce.com certification.
  • Excellent communication, project management, organizational, planning, customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $104,000 - $177,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
