About the Role:

This role is the most senior operations support engineer profile in the Global Operations team. The incumbent takes the lead in operating a wide range of SAP, Windows, Linux, VMWare, other server operating systems, and storage systems in highly virtualized on-premise data centers and the public cloud.

At this level, the incumbent will not only be responsible for ensuring the health and optimization of the running services but will also assist and cover the team leader in planning the teams and play a critical role in continuous improvement activities. The role will also design, maintain and improve key operational processes and procedures related to the operational running of enterprise environments and is expected to take the lead in leading technology teams to achieve IT operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Defines operational processes with TD SYNNEX Services & Operations KPIs and SLAs for problem and/or issue resolution.

  • Seeks and leverages opportunities to expand knowledge and skill base.

  • Review, develop, and implement technical operational standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of service across IT infrastructure and systems.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and optimize workflows.

  • Establish and analyze performance metrics and generate reports to assess operational performance and effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

  • Identifies the required data to help build executive reports to cover the most critical operational processes.

  • Align with external service providers and technology partners to ensure the adoption of the company's operational procedures and processes.

  • Participates with the PMO to detect and analyze if the new incoming projects accomplish the operational procedures and excellence and to guide how to proceed and what will be taken into consideration from an operational perspective to deliver the project.

  • Regularly evaluate operational processes and IT architecture to identify areas for improvement and anticipate future organizational needs, such as capacity planning and demand capacity.

What We're Looking For:

  • A desirable broad understanding of information technology systems, including the principal layers, such as the hardware infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Networks..., etc.) and the platform (Virtualization, Backups, Scheduling, Automation, Cloud..., etc.).

  • Desirable knowledge of IT operation services and the capacity to understand the operational services needed for maintaining the RUN of the infrastructure and systems.

  • Experience in cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, especially in Azure.

  • Desirable knowledge or analytical capacity to create workflows that describe different procedures or processes.

  • +4 years' experience working in the IT operation departments or Service management departments.

  • Valuable project methodology knowledge or participation in different IT projects.

  • Valuable, have experience in automation of some processes or improvement procedures.

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make data-driven decisions to resolve them efficiently.

  • Valuable, ITIL or similar knowledge

  • A professional English level, writing and speaking, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Desirable knowledge of working with PowerBI or similar front-end BI tools.

  • A bachelor's degree in systems engineering or a related field is preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of systems engineering or a related field of study is required.

  • Other Education / Certifications: ITIL foundation, 6-sigma white belt, related Expert Microsoft server and Azure products certifications, Linux LPIC-21, and VMWare vSphere certification. CCNA is a plus-project management skills (PMP, Scrum Master, Prince 2 as reference).

  • Able to execute instructions and request clarification when needed.

  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.

  • Able to converse and write effectively in English and Spanish.

  • Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.

  • Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level.
