Job Description

TSC is seeking qualified Senior Inventory Control Clerk to support our Huntsville, AL location. The successful candidate will have experience with expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. This role will support periodic review of inventory levels, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand. The role of Inventory Control Clerk will verify material received to determine irregularities in order and prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts. The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for working with production planners and manufacturing engineers to ensure inventory availability, meeting both near and long term production needs. Candidate must be a self-motivated, solutions oriented and capable of completing duties under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives materials into inventory and issues materials out to technicians at the direction of leadership.
  • Manage inventory of multiple projects.
  • Responsible for the shipping of finished goods to customers.
  • Perform inspection of incoming materials.
  • Works with the quality team to address any materials received in a damaged condition.
  • Performs physical inventory checks as directed by manufacturing team.
  • Works with production planner and manufacturing engineer to manage inventory levels.
  • Responsible for keeping inventory area clean and organized.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 4-5 years of inventory and/or supply chain related experience
  • Employee may frequently be required to lift, stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls as well as required to reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must have the ability lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in communication and organization
  • Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in domestic and international shipping, including parcel and freight services
  • Familiar with low volume manufacturing environments
  • Skilled in handling delicate electronics
  • Proficient in reading engineering Bills of Materials
