Summary
The Enrollment Specialist is a team member of Palmetto Excel North Charleston. With a focus on equitable access to education, training and employment, this position engages and recruits adults without a high school diploma to attend Palmetto Excel. The person in this role demonstrates behaviors consistent with the overarching mission, vision and values of Palmetto Excel and Palmetto Goodwill and carries a relentless belief in the potential of every Palmetto Excel student to succeed in college, career, and life.

The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the marketing and recruitment process and achieving enrollment goals for Palmetto Excel North Charleston. The Enrollment Specialist will develop and facilitate the design and implementation of the school recruitment plan. The position is also responsible for establishing and implementing programs for targeted recruitment of students that are over 21 years of age and left high school early, with special focus on the Tri-county community. The Specialist creates and disseminates marketing materials, manages Palmetto Excel's enrollment database, establishes enrollment pipelines and referral processes with local nonprofits, builds relationships with community leaders, and organizes and attends community events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Demonstrates Palmetto Goodwill's Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) Culture, I-CARE Values, Mission, and Vision in all actions.
* Set and achieve annual recruitment goals for Palmetto Excel North Charleston.
* Plan and implement recruitment strategies and activities to cultivate, recruit, and enroll prospective applicants, including community outreach, nonprofit partnership-building, and earned and social media and digital marketing campaigns.
* In addition to outreach and engagement with prospective students, lead re-engagement strategies with existing students to boost retention and attendance.
* Coordinate tours of Palmetto Excel for prospective students, families, professionals, and visitors in conjunction with the school director.
* Plan, coordinate, and attend community outreach events.
* Develop and disseminate enrollment marketing materials to key audiences.
* Analyze trends and data to make adjustments in recruitment strategies.
* Manage student applicant pool/database.
* Lead the enrollment process with new and returning students.
* Lead the recruitment and enrollment process.
* Attend all team and professional development meetings.
* Support Palmetto Excel by sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding Excel applicants and employees.
* Post job ads, screen new applicants, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
* Serve as an employee advocate and a champion of company policy and I-CARE values.
* Other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

* Supports the potential of every Excel student to success in college, career, and life.
* Ability to manage recruitment region, work under tight deadlines, and meet assigned enrollment goals.
* Demonstrated ability to connect and work with diverse populations.
* Skills in effective verbal written communication, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations.
* Ability to analyze and interpret data and make necessary adjustments to achieve enrollment goals.
* Working knowledge of Office 365 and ability to work with student recruitment software tools.
* Broad knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and best practices.
* Familiarity with HR software and tools.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Minimum of two years' experience working directly in student recruitment, education, and/or community outreach.
* Human resource experience preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work is normally performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
