From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization, astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, mission assurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis, SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

The Systems Performance, Estimation and Algorithms Department (SPEAD) performs algorithm development and evaluation as well as modeling, simulation, and analysis for enterprise through system level national security space customers emphasizing Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) sensors, missile warning/missile tracking (MW/MT), resiliency threat assessments, space domain awareness (SDA) and space security. The selected candidate will provide project leadership in threat characterization and radar modeling and simulation.

  • Co-lead studies to characterize and project threat systems based on a combination of validated intelligence, engineering judgment and concurrent design methodologies. The candidate must also be able to lead and mentor early career staff and be a true force multiplier.

  • Lead the technical development of the Advanced Sensor Performance Evaluation & Concept Toolkit (ASPECT) and related radar and active sensor modeling efforts. The candidate will manage ASPECT analytical staff.

  • Facilitate the deployment or implementation of existing Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers across the space enterprise; understand customer problems and issues and turn them into tasks that can be supported by Aerospace capabilities at large, including cross ETG and external company teaming.
