Job Summary

Provides developmentally appropriate activities for infants, children and adolescents in the healthcare environment.

Accountabilities

  • Supervises volunteers and community groups. - 25%

  • Facilitate and supervise individual and group normative play experiences. - 25%

  • Organizes, maintains, and cleans activity rooms according to infection control standards. - 25%

  • Communicates patient concerns and needs to child life specialists and other Children's Hospital staff. - 15%

  • Acts as a resource to families in the areas of child development, play, and parenting. - 10%

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - child development or a related field

  • 1 year experience in a group child care setting

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • Heartsaver Certification - Midlands Only

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

  • Proficient computer skills (word processing)

  • Proficient computer skills (spreadsheets)
