Under the general supervision of the Director of Product Development & Education, the Clinical Educator provides education and support on all Fillauer divisions' orthotic and prosthetic-related products and services. For this position, we are looking for a Prosthetist or Prosthetist Orthotist to support and travel throughout the western US. The ideal candidate will be located near a major metropolitan airport.

Your Impact
    Create education programs and in-services for clinicians and Fillauer employees.
  • Present educational programming both in-person and online.
  • Assist in coordinating patient testing of new and existing products.
  • Provide technical support on company products, competitive products, and coding to internal and external staff, associates, and customers.
  • Assist in conducting marketing research on new, existing, potential, and competitive products.
  • Work with production staff and engineers on the development and/or improvement of existing or new products and prototypes.
  • Responsible for technical writing and review of product educational materials, instruction manuals, and other support collateral.
  • Provide input on product packaging, photography, and marketing collateral.
  • Provide information on L-code application reimbursement changes, additions, and deletions for Orthotic and Prosthetic products.
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Responsible for monthly progress reports on activities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in O&P or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience.
  • ABC certification: CPO preferred.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent communications skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent writing skills including proper grammar and spelling.
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines, establish priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Additional Success Factors
  • Required to travel domestically and Internationally for trade shows, sales meetings, in-services, educational programs, product launches, customer visits, and as determined by supervisor, Director of Marketing, or senior-level manager. Travel will be 40-50% or as needed.
  • Present orthotic and prosthetic education to diverse audiences both in-person and online with online being approximately 50% of interactions.
  • Provide information for third party billing (i.e. insurance companies, CMS, etc.) as it relates to new and existing products.
  • If requested, act as technical support or expert witness in legal issues involving the company.
  • Provide comments, suggestions, and opinions on existing or new product development.
  • Assist in creating, populating, and maintaining an online, on-demand educational platform.
  • Help create and complete Marketing Specification Sheets for Orthotic and Prosthetic Products.
  • Monitor and exercise control of expenses.
  • Help in overseeing patient testing and trial periods of new and existing products. Responsible for coordination of practitioners, company staff, and patients in providing suitable candidates for testing and gathering of data in order to make sound and informed judgments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or senior-level executive.
  • Required to work with and provide service to orthotic and prosthetic patients in order to keep a "hands-on knowledge and skill set" in patient care current.

  • Pay range of $70,000-90,000 + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
