The Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role for Ingevity's production areas by facilitating the identification, planning, and execution of maintenance work. This position is responsible for creating work orders, collaborating with Maintenance Planners, and ensuring that maintenance tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. The Maintenance Coordinator will also contribute to the planning of equipment outages to minimize production disruptions.

How You'll Impact Ingevity:

  • Proactively identify maintenance needs within the production area.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and maintenance teams to determine maintenance priorities.
  • Create detailed work orders for identified maintenance tasks, including scope of work, materials required, and estimated timelines.
  • Ensure work orders are accurate, complete, and prioritize tasks based on production schedules and safety considerations.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planners to schedule and assign work orders to appropriate maintenance teams or contractors.
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance activities and provide necessary support to resolve issues or delays.
  • Promote and enforce safety procedures and checklists, ensuring that all maintenance work is conducted in compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Participate in safety meetings and incident investigations as needed.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling equipment outages to minimize production disruptions while maximizing maintenance effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure outage planning aligns with production goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories.
  • Generate reports summarizing maintenance performance and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings in maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improvements.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in maintenance coordination or related roles within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures within the chemical industry or manufacturing in general.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance management software such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability for occasional off-hours and weekend work during scheduled maintenance outages.
  • Periodically on call on a rotational basis.
  • Relocation assistance is available for this position.
