Job Description

The Business Manager is responsible for providing Division and Business Unit Managers with relevant and precise information regarding all phases of Division operations. This includes data pertaining to capital/leases, P&L analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and financials. This role will also provide intelligence that supports strategic decision making for purchasing and inventory management.

The employee's primary duty must be the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of Helena or Helena's customers. This also includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

What your day may look like

  • Manages all phases of the budgeting process.
  • Interprets profit and loss statements to monitor progress versus goals.
  • Analyzes and summarizes supplier programs, analyzes product mixes, analyzes inventory and market.
  • Communicates with necessary internal departments and vendors to gather information necessary for the determination of operational decisions.
  • Provides pricing information and program direction to Program Administrator and division and location sales teams.
  • Develops systems to ensure that Helena receives maximum compensation from basic suppliers for purchasing and program decisions.
  • Develops, updates and maintains price book.
  • Analyzes and reviews information concerning capital expenditures, leases and acquisitions.
  • Other duties as assigned by your leader.
  • Reliable and regular attendance is expected.

Education and experience needed for this position

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, agriculture business, business management or related field is required.
  • Three years of related work experience is required.

Other skills that will help you succeed

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Experience using internal Helena systems highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 15% required.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Your work environment and the physical aspects of the job

The work environment for this position may require the employee to work in an outdoor setting in all types of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements. When working outdoors and possibly around moving equipment/mechanical parts, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations and a risk of electrical shock. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
