This position is located at the Milliken - Magnolia Plant located in Blacksburg, SC and reports to the Process Improvement Manager. The position is responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts at the site. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. However, due to continuous operations of the plant, the work schedule may require arriving before 8:00 am, staying beyond 5:00 pm, and participation in the management team weekend rotation schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the conditions that impact the processes and products
  • Use sound project management skills to manage multiple improvement projects
  • Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking skills
  • Incorporate creative thinking to problem solving to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficient
  • Prepare diagrams, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of associates
  • Work effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goals
  • Participate fully in the Safety Process

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Textile, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering major
  • Previous manufacturing experience (intern, co-op, or fulltime)
