- Is familiar with and follows all work instructions that apply to the job.
- Loads and runs machine.
- Makes necessary machine adjustments to maintain tolerance or notifies appropriate personnel when adjustments are needed.
- Unloads machine and stacks parts according to shop criteria for material handling.
- Properly tags product at each stage of process, according to shop criteria.
- Record information in computer systems as required.
- Performs all inspections as required.
- Notifies appropriate personnel when nonconforming parts are found.
- Monitors tool condition, changes tools at specified intervals or when wear becomes excessive.
- Notifies appropriate personnel about problems with machine occur.
- Maintains a safe work area by performing general housekeeping duties in work area.
- Recommend solutions to problems through channels.
- Other job duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
- HS Diploma or GED
- Previous furnace experience preferred.
- Previous machine operation experience preferred but not required
