Overview

Used Parts Sales Representative will successfully implement the company's used parts sales plan and supporting policies to include disposition of used parts; day-to-day administration, including establishing values and managing inventory.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Work directly with sales representatives to source high quality used parts for Blanchard customers through a variety of resources (CAT dealers, and Independent Dealers, online customers, etc.)
  • Partner with sales representatives to ensure that used parts deals are in the best interest of the customer and also profitable for Blanchard.
  • Manage purchasing details and logistics from beginning to end.
  • Preform inspections on all used parts. Parts will be a wide variety of Caterpillar and other OEM after-market parts, must inspect all aspects of the part from top to bottom.
  • Determine and coordinate proper machine disassembly and parts needed with Blanchard service personnel and departments.
  • Ensure service personnel and departments perform work to be completed in timely manner on budget
  • Follow up after work is completed and parts are "sale ready". Partner with internal administrative staff for updated pictures to market part(s) online at Blanchard Used Parts website
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. BA/BS degree in finance, business or related field preferred.
  • Five to eight years' experience in used parts (all makes and models, retail and wholesale) preferred.
  • Market knowledge and expertise in determining used parts values and in estimating future value of used parts.
  • Ability to understand acquisition costs and related expenses invested to effectively determine part(s) value and selling costs sold "as is" without incurring additional costs.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
  • Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, verbal).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with exceptional presentation, negotiation, and business acumen.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, DBS, and the ability to learn other products.
  • High energy, excellent self-motivation, and work ethic

  • Ability to multitask in a complex environment.

  • Must be able to set and adjust schedule according to work load each day.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and able to stay overnight/out of town if needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years.

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Must be able to lift varied weight up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
