Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused Civil Engineer to join our collaborative and innovative team. This position will be located in our Lexington, SC or North Charleston, SC office.

Responsibilities include assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies; preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects; preparing design computations and quantity estimates; developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department. Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college and a minimum of two years of experience.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software experience
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Utility coordination/relocation design experience
  • Municipal/Water Resources engineering experience
  • EIT certification
