Scope Summary:

As a visible member of our Talent Success team, the Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in delivering client-focused HR support to employees and managers across the organization. This role ensures seamless access to information, timely resolution of inquiries, and fosters collaboration throughout the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to deliver exceptional HR services to the organization.
  • Facilitate pre-employment and onboarding processes, including job description alignment, timely requisition management, and inter-department communication.
  • Administer new hire paperwork, such as I-9 forms, E-Verify, and background checks, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation programs and administration, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • ManageHR administration, including meticulous documentation, maintenance and management of employee files, job descriptions, policies, and handbook.
  • Act as a responsive point of contact for HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate assistance.
  • Process state unemployment requests.
  • Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews and providing overall assistance to the recruitment team.
  • Assist with quarterly employee performance feedback and review process.
  • Coordinate regular HR processes, such as the Conflict of Interest process, with diligence and accuracy.
  • Maintain labor law notifications, posters, and online access for compliance purposes.
  • Provide support to HR team members across various functions, including recruiting, learning and development, benefits, and employee experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR practices and processes to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to support HR initiatives.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent desired.
  • 3 - 5years of related HR experience including proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of employment law.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Slack; experience with HR databases and HRIS systems like Ceridian/Dayforce.
  • Familiarity with ATS software and sourcing tools, including resume databases and online communities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and exercise sound judgment in issue identification and escalation.

Note - This position will need to be in the Downers Grove office 1-2 times per week.
