As a Quality Engineer you will ensure that quality standards are being met according to corporate, customer, and government regulations. Document quality concerns and rejected parts. Assists with training and program implementation as well as assist the quality manager as needed. This position will be located at our Greenville, SC plant and report to the Technical Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Be instrumental in new production part approval process (PPAP) and/or design change parts.
Be involved in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Participate in and/or lead problem solving teams
Enter Statistical Process Control (SPC) data & perform analysis as required
Audit processes, products, and/or systems based on: customer complaints, quality alert print-outs, previous internal/external audits results, process cards; LECS completed; verify settings match parameters; SPC charts completed and out of control points completed; adhesion/cure checks completed according to instructions.
Responsible for GR&R completion & retention
Make all Master Document changes that are lab, wastewater, or quality related
ISO/IATF preparation and compliance
Perform training on new/revised quality standards or processes
Conduct SPC training
Attend and participate in New Project Team meetings.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BS in Chemistry or Engineering preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Prior experience in quality, automotive sector a plus
Ability to work with mathematical concepts
