Our Traffic Engineering Business Unit focuses on traffic engineering, transportation systems, and multimodal traffic operations. We are seeking a highly motivated Traffic Engineering Supervisor to join our Traffic Engineering Business Unit in Lexington, SC. The Traffic Engineering Supervisor will be involved with the pursuit and delivery of transportation projects with a broad range of clients including municipalities, Counties, and State Departments of Transportation.

  • Lead, manage, and direct a team of traffic design engineers who perform design work to support our transportation projects in the Midwest, Southeastern US, and Maryland. This team currently includes staff in our Columbia, Maryland and Columbia, South Carolina offices.
  • Prepare traffic plans for traffic signals, signing, and pavement marking, temporary traffic control, roadway lighting, and communication plans.
  • Interact with clients at project meetings and build strong relationships
  • Write technical reports and memos
  • Create project presentations and present at technical conferences

The successful candidate will have all the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or electrical engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • A PE license with the ability to obtain PTOE within one year
  • A valid driver's license. Travel will be required
  • Familiarity with MicroStation or other platforms such as AutoCAD Civil 3D etc.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong capability in writing technical reports and memos
  • Ability to lead internal teams and manage subconsultant partners
  • Strong capability in creating and presenting project presentations
