Ingevity seeks a motivated team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment to analyze data to drive decisions. This role is within the FP&A function and will play a vital role within financial planning, forecasting, analytics, and business process enhancement for our business and/or corporate entities. Based in Charleston, SC, the Financial Analyst position will report to the FP&A Director.

How you will Impact Ingevity

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly sales and profitability reporting and analysis of financial results
  • Support the full FP&A team in consolidation of the financial forecast, annual plan, and strategic plan
  • Manage Corp SG&A functions' annual planning process, monthly forecasting, actual reporting, and monthly cost center review meetings
  • Provide corporate Ad Hoc reporting and modeling for business financial decisions
  • Organize new product data from technical teams and construct quarterly Innovation Sales report for internal and external sustainability reporting
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports to provide critical financial and operational information across the company through online dashboards
  • Manage data governance and security permissions for Power BI and other internal reports

What you need to succeed

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 2-4 years' experience working in financial analysis
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Driven, fast learner, self-starter, able to overcome obstacles and see projects through to completion
  • Advanced Excel skills, high-level PowerPoint & Word proficiency; experience w/ SAP & Power BI
  • Ability to build reports from the idea phase as well as update and enhance legacy reports
  • Demonstrated professional interaction with employees at all levels
  • Flexibility to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional experience with a manufacturing company a plus
  • SAP experience a plus*
