Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assisting unloading or loading trucks.
* Sorts merchandise into containers for storage, processing, distribution, and recycling.
* Operates baler machine to prepare specified material for distribution.
* Maintains accurate record keeping of recycling output.
* Maintains a clean and safe working area.
* Visually inspects equipment prior to operating to determine if equipment is safe to operate.
* Utilizes safety checklists to maintain accurate record keeping of equipment safety inspections.
* Complies with all agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must have dependable transportation. Able to use pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four-wheel carts. Able to sort and pack material for safe storage or transport.

Education and Experience
No specific education levels are required. Must be able to read and write.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The team member is required to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and routinely lift and/or move more than 10 pounds.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an indoor retail setting. Periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including temperature and humidity variations. The noise level is moderate.
