Ignite Digital, has an exciting opportunity for a Data Developer to support our client engagements within the federal government. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a strong work ethic. This position serves an important role in supporting a Navy financial team through data visualization/analytics, programming, and producing business process improvements. The Developer will troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing processes by developing solutions within Databricks, using programming languages SQL and Python, and supporting data visualization requirements in Qlik.
Responsibilities:
- Develop within the ADVANA infrastructure, utilizing the Databricks platform to process, and deliver Qlik data visualizations to clients and end users for strategic decision making
- Evaluate, develop, and implement solutions within current business processes to optimize efficiencies in collaboration with financial process SMEs
- Design and deliver dashboards that reconcile key performance and operational data for the command to drive actionable objectives
- Data modeling and script development to support reporting, monitoring, and dashboard solutions
- Identify methods to collect, analyze, and manage data with the goal of making recommendations to improve data quality and the efficiency of data processes
- Evaluate the performance and applicability of tools against customer and client requirements
- Foster collaborative business relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and team members
- Assist in the training and development of the command workforce to become robust data citizens within the platform
- Collaborate with Navy clients on enterprise reporting and objectives
- Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications and reports
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Business, Economics or other related field
- 4 years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting the usage of data visualization toolkits
- Hands on experience in performance tuning and optimizing code running in environments such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Cloudera, or Amazon EMR
- Experience with programming languages SQL and/or Python for data transformation, modeling, and custom visualizations
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization using Qlik and/or Tableau
- Demonstrated experience developing dashboards and analysis to support decision-making within modern platforms such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, from managers to technical resources, to include the translation of business requirements into operational measures and reports
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and communication through reports
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, and quickly transition to reassess priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD security clearance
- Experience with DoD/NAVWAR financial management, business practices, and data management systems and processes, including ADVANA/Jupiter and tools including Databricks and Qlik
- Knowledge of the system development life cycle, software project management approaches and requirements, design and test techniques including experience working in a DevOps/DevSecOps delivery environment
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Experience in mentoring/training/coaching others in technical concepts
- Adapts quickly to new situations, is willing to learn new technologies and works well in a team environment, leading individual projects without the need for supervision

Salary: $85,000+ to align with education & experience
