Job Summary

Responsible for the growth, strategy, and service to the entire health system and the day to day operations of intake, processing, delivery, set-up, clinical programs, billing and collecting of respiratory care services while maintaining all regulatory guidelines and standards.

Accountabilities

Develops and implements a strategy for growth and expansion of respiratory services provided into markets in which Prisma Health provides services.\u00A0 Ensures financial viability and profitability while developing and maintaining excellent customer service to patients, providers, and referral sources.\u00A0 Ensures a marketing plan exists to support growth and services provided.\u00A0 Accountable for development and adherence to department budget.\u00A0 35%

Selects, trains/orients, assures competency, assigns department staff, approves emergency on-call schedule, evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Adheres to Prisma Health policy in disciplining / terminating employees.\u00A0 Maintains good employee relations by using disciplinary measures effectively and appropriately and by addressing employee concerns and/or grievances in a timely manner while maintaining employee personnel records. Ensures all clinical staff are competence and proficient in skills with current and active licenses and certifications.\u00A0 20%

Accountable for equipment and supplies purchased through the department for patient use with associated annual accounting inventory.\u00A0 5%

Assures referrals / orders are complete and physician certificates of medical necessity are received prior to billing, with associated tracking of outstanding cmn money, and that all staff are educated and adhere to Prisma Health Corporate Compliance. 5%

Meet all FDA reporting guidelines for problematic equipment with associated reporting to Risk Management at GMH. 5%

Assures that all patients receive proper paperwork for each piece of equipment prescribed with associated educational training and care planning.\u00A0 5%

Maintains referral tracking and reports monthly to Director.\u00A0 5%

Identifies CQI issues and established ongoing plan and associated tools with tracking.\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0 5%

Assures that preventive maintenance on all serialized equipment with documentation and tracking is within manufacturer guidelines.\u00A0 10%

Assures that Patient Satisfaction tool is utilized on all new referrals with tracking of information.\u00A0 Assures that all customer complaints are handled within twenty four hours of receipt.\u00A0 5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree - Business or health related
Minimum Experience
5 years - Respiratory Therapy
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) National Board for Respiratory Care (Lawson Code CRRT)
SC valid driver's license
In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements
An associate\u2019s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy and 3 years of office or business experience may be considered.\u00A0
Other Required Experience
Previous experience in respiratory services within a DME company - required
