Your Role

Mission

Develop and execute an annual plan to increase sales in the assigned territory. Support customer base with a focus on aftermarket product growth. Develop a network of distributors in designated region that focus on Edmac products and grow sales year over year in line with target.

Develop strategic, value add relationships with current and prospective customers that result in profitable business.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop sales to all external resellers/customers in designated region. Focus on quality of customer and growth potential. Manage price point for sales, offering best price only to qualifying customers.
  • Support internal (20%) and external customers (80%) with focus on prompt response and conversion to aftermarket products.
  • Create a development plan for identifying and capturing new customers and markets
  • Develop aftermarket parts business as a priority across all sales channels.
  • Preparing and presenting quotes, proposals, pricing, and credit terms.
  • Achieve sales goals in line with targets set for your region.
  • Maintain a professional image and represent the Company at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.
  • Introduce and promote new products to all customers to drive new market revenue
  • Actively engage in planned prospecting activities (travel/visit to customers in the territory) geared at increasing customer base
    • Minimum of 20 customer in-person visits per month is required
  • Continuously pursue knowledge and understanding of market and economic trends and news that may affect the Edmac business.
  • Through training and development, remain current in the product knowledge and business skills necessary to be effective in the position.
  • Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers.
  • Work collaboratively with Edmac inside team to provide same-day response to customers and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.

Personal Development-Take personal responsibility for your own career development by updating job knowledge (for both products and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; networking; and participating in professional organizations. Utilize learning link and engage in other competence development activities to continually work towards personal growth and career development.

Reporting-Perform all reporting though Salesforce. This is Edmac' s primary CRM system. All visits and calls should be logged within this system to eliminate the need for Monthly reporting. Report immediately to management any special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity, including recommendations for product, service, pricing changes and evaluation of competitive developments.

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Experience

An entrepreneurial approach with at least three years' experience in the compressed air business. Should have good understanding of common compressor technology and awareness of main competitive OEM brands. Parts product knowledge on one or more of non-Atlas Copco compressor OEM's and relevant multi-channel sales experience is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Skills

  • Very strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Must be process oriented
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications - particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Strong PC skills with aptitude for learning new technology platforms and applications
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is desirable (or similar CRM systems).
  • Self-motivator with the ability to solve problems as they arise
  • Ability to follow work processes and work collaboratively with others

Travel

Some travel to customers' sites, trade shows and vendors will be necessary. Up to 50% local and overnight travel.

  • $60,000 - $80,000base salary. Salary based on knowledge, skills, and experience and has been geographically adjuted.
