Job Summary

Provides patient care through the provision of direct operational and/or clinical patient services. Pharmacists will collaborate within the department to enhance departmental operations and clinical programs. Staff will participate in departmental and/or institutional committees, actively participate in the provision of education, and promotion of the profession. This position will require employees to work weekends, any required evenings, and holidays. The amount of time allocated to operations and clinical services will depend upon patients requirements, staffing, and overall pharmacy workload.

* Actively participates in the provision of health care education including postgraduate didactic and experiential train-

* Provides accurate order-entry, drug distribution, and clinical pharmaceutical care (which may include point of care

\u00A0\u00A0 testing).\u00A015%

* Actively participates in department and institutional committees and projects (ex. Performance improvement,\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0

\u00A0\u00A0 formulary management, regulatory, patient safety, financial).\u00A010%

* Provides concise, applicable, timely responses for drug information requests and other pharmaceutical care ser-

\u00A0\u00A0 vices. Provides documentation in the patient care record when appropriate. 10%

* Actively participates in representing GHS within a professional organization through the provision of service, presen-

\u00A0\u00A0 tations, and/or publications. 5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Hiring Requirements

Bachelor\u2019s Degree \u2013 Graduation from an ACPE-approved college of Pharmacy, PharmD preferred.

Completion of an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Residency or 5 years of pharmacist experience.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

South Carolina Pharmacist License

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

In lieu of an active SC Pharmacist license, may be a graduate of an ACPE accredited US college of Pharmacy with a SC intern certificate pending initial licensure or have completed requirements for reciprocity pending board of pharmacy interview for licensure.\u00A0
