Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, Diversity and Inclusion, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion is a subject matter expert and critical DEI leader requiring a combination of tactical and strategic planning and hands-on execution to support Prisma Health's People and embeded DEI Strategy. The Director of Diversity and Inclusion is highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative position, which will support the implementation of Prisma Health engagement and DEI objectives aligned with organizational goals and Pillars (People, Service, Quality & Safety, and Growth). The candidate\u2019s aim is to assist to hard-drive inclusion straetgy, belonging practices and enagement workplace cultural experiences across Prisma Health footprint. In partnership with the CDO, Executive Director, and other HR functions, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion will create comprehensive Inclusion & Diversity plans and launch programs, processes and metrics to drive and measure success of the Strategic Diversity Roadmap and track progress. The Director of Diversity and inclusion will direct staff, prioritize actions and tactics aligned with campus specific DEI objectives and work across the enterprise, in collaboration with organizational leadership to accomplish diversity strategic priorities aligned with organizational goals. Serves as a key contact for cross functional teams, including buisness resource grups and assists to refine strategy for engaging Senior Leadership involvement and mentorship as executive sponsors. Develops strong relationships with HRBPs to build DEI acumen and expand knowledge of best practices while launching creative approaches for talent development to ensure institutional equity. Develops and executes diversity education and training at New Team Member Experience and departmental/staff meetings and collaborates with Organizational Development on presentations and modules for new leaders that foster inclusive learning. Additioanlly, works in collaboration with senior leaders, HRBPs, Corpoate Intergrity, and Employee Relations to respond to internal conflict resoultion matters or challenges. Spearheads efforts with leadership and workplace service lines, fostering an environment that welcomes individual and cultural differences. This working leader and strategist will proactively cultivate and manage team member and key stakeholder relationships and works with a variety of departmental units, including Marketing and Communications in crafting cohesive diversity-related communications that engage our diverse workforce, convey our strategy, and direct our global strategic efforts while supporting Prisma Health vision and promise. This position will be located/stationed in Columbia.

Accountabilities

  • Works closely with the\u00A0 CHRO/CDO and Executive Director of DEI to support the execution of Prisma Health People Strategy and to embed DEI aligned with organizational goals and Pillars (People, Service, Quality & Safety, and Growth), and establish metrics, including short-term and long-term goals, dashboards, scorecards, and action plans to track progress and measure results. - 25%
  • Develops and launches Belonging and engagement strategies embedded in diversity, equity, and \u00A0inclusion \u00A0initiatives, programs, and processes, and activities, including implementation of inclusive workforce approaches to attract, retain, and engage Prisma Health's diverse workforce talent. Additionally, works in partnership with Executive Director and senior leaders on Diversity Leaders Development Program and specific pipeline and mentorship initiatives. - 20%
  • Develops and executes diversity education and training at New Team Member Experience and departmental/staff meetings and collaborates with Organizational Development\u00A0 on presentations and modules\u00A0 for new leaders that foster inclusive learning. Leads the design, planning and execution of strategic diversity assessments and educational experiences and \u00A0facilitates various diversity awareness trainings across the enterprise, inclusive of\u00A0 anti-bias and cultural competency. Works closely with Organizational Development to achieve inclusive learning competencies and routine tools/practices for all team members to embrace. - 20%
  • Conducts department/unit specific organizational equity and culture audits and works proactively and collaboratively with HRBP and\u00A0 talent management team to ensure effective analysis, review findings, and provide updates to senior leadership to inform decision making. Provides on-going research on best practices and\u00A0 recommend strategies for continuous improvement. - 15%
  • Works closely with engaging Senior Leadership involvement as mentors and executive sponsors of cross functional teams/BRGs and emerging talent.\u00A0- 10%
  • Assist and partners with HRBPs\u00A0 and \u00A0Patient Advocacy on diversity-specific conflict resolution. Works with employee relations & HRBPs to investigate and identify solutions, and knowledge of laws, polices and guidelines related to diversity and inclusion, including\u00A0 Just Culture, Title VII, Section 1557\u00A0 discrimination/harassment, code of conduct and Prisma Health \u00A0Behavior Expectations. - 10%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health Company or affiliate and will have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree - Human Resources, Business Management, Learning and Organization Development, Adult Education or International/Intercultural Studies or other related Healthcare field is required.
  • 5 years - Minimum of 5 years in the DE+I field in a role with increasing scope and responsibilities for developing and leading diversity strategies or Talent Management \u00A0and in a role with increasing scope and responsibilities for developing and leading inclusion strategies and experiences in Human Resources to drive business and workplace/workforce\u00A0 impact.\u00A0

In Lieu Of

In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, a Bachelors Degree and 5 years integrated experience in \u00A0healthcare; 3 years \u00A0of which are tied directly to diversity, equity and inclusion, and Diversity certification.

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Master's Degree \u00A0or advanced degree
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
