Job Description

Job Responsibilities

The employee in this role has the primary responsibility to create and drive all aspects of QC protocols for PC Operations, together with managing the progression of PC projects around SMART Manufacturing, Process Improvements and Efficiency Gains; this will also include the creation and management of required systems to support these responsibilities.

  • Establish and maintain QC Operational standards and protocols, up to and including ISO 9001, which can be benchmarked against World Class.
  • Prioritize the execution of improvement, efficiency and SMART projects based on critical needs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance across PC Operations in planning and executing Improvement & Efficiency projects.
  • Provide technical support towards resolving process issues across PC.
  • Provide support to Plant Managers around career development of their QC Team Members.
  • Manage the smooth transition of new formulations from R&D to commercial Operations.
  • Liaise with the Customer Service group to provide technical support to resolve Customer quality issues by identifying effective corrective actions.
  • Liaise with PC R&D, Customer Service and Operations to ensure Management of Change [MOC] evaluations around the introduction of Raw Materials and Finished Goods are completed with expediency.
  • Drive Tollers to establish & monitor QC set-up and testing activities.
  • Interface technically with the procurement team & Chemical suppliers to establish supplier QC best practices while working to resolve quality related issues.
  • Support pilot plant studies to create and establish QC protocols for new products and/or process improvements.
  • Remains current in emerging technologies and system advancements to continually improve job performance.
  • Establishes, develops, and uses internal resources in a consultative fashion to find areas for improvement.
  • Report on key performance indicators and activities around Quality and Process Improvement across all levels of PC.
  • Provide technical Zero Harm support to PC Customer Support
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Engineering /Science/Operations related area.
  • A minimum of 10 years industrial work experience required.
  • Significant proven experience working at a senior level within organizations.
  • Enthusiastic in driving the integration of new technology into an existing business environment.
  • Provide leadership in Zero Harm awareness.
  • Be creative, independent, and motivated, while providing inspirational leadership for Quality and Process Improvement across PC.
  • The ability to influence and get work done without "Direct Reporting" authority.
  • The communication skills to present ideas and progress to all levels, from B-of-D to Manufacturing floor employees.
  • Strong computer, organizational, communication and analytical skills.
  • Exhibit the power of building with positive organizational discipline.
  • High level of flexibility to adapt to varying situations to attain goals and meet deadlines.
  • Up to 40% travel.
