THE OPPORTUNITY

To act as the Safety* referent and liaison for theAmericas Passenger Car/Light Truck Leadership team and plants in order to provide results now and in the future. Lead the safety and environmental networks in area of responsibility. Cooperate with counterparts in other teams to ensure consistency and deliverance of global ambitions and objectives.
* Implement and maintain the control of the Safety risks for all the Passenger Car/Light Truck sites within Michelin Americas (Canada, US, Mexico, and Brazil). When too high, bring the risks to the global target.
* Build the conditions to generate progress.
* Implement a process of control of the compliance of the Michelin Group entities in regards to the country laws and regulations and to the Michelin requirements.

This position is located in Greenville, SC, conveniently located within driving distance to east coast beaches, the Blue Ridge Mountains and large cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. The mild climate, charming downtown, and impressive culinary scene are just a few of the perks of living here.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Ensure the global HSE Orientations, Politics, Prescriptions, Priorities are defined, communicated and understood by the HSE community and by the operational managers
* The level of HSE risks of the domain is under control and it is reducing each year at the desired speed

*Work methods are defined, implemented and continuously improved to implement the risk management processes of the HSE Domain
*A mapping of the HSE risks above target, site by site, is continuously up to date.
*Processes are implemented to anticipate all the changes which may impact the risks: new materials, new products, new laws, new machines, new customer expectations, new risk knowledge, etc.

* On the HSE Domain, the level of compliance of the Michelin sites regarding the laws and regulations and the Michelin requirements is under control, and is continuously improved
*Ensure monitoring of changes in the standards and technical requirements in the domain.
* Continuous identification of good practices which are quickly shared after validation
*External benchmark actions are made to find ideas to speed up progress. Projects are launched to benefits from these takeaways
* The Michelin Group acquires each year the HSE external certifications which are required by the Group management or our customers
* When needed, active participation in professional networks or punctual stakeholder studies in order to represent the Michelin interests and to anticipate potential risks or opportunities.
