Job Summary

Provides primary health care to a specific, non-traditional patient population within the guidelines of written protocols. Follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices with non-traditional resources. Utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in specialized patient care area without direct physician oversight. Oversees onsite clinic management of corporations with 200 - 12,000 employees.

Accountabilities

    • Provide episodic and chronic care, screening and education to employees at onsite corporate locations, without direct physician oversight, by following the most current evidence-based guidelines of practice. Oversees daily management of corporate clinic while striving to achieve system objectives related to healthcare quality, patient engagement and finances. Position requires demonstrated sound independent judgement related to employee's health care and safety. \u00A0\u00A030%
    • Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.\u00A015%
    • Understands and complies with all regulatory, procedural, policy and licensing requirements. Provides point of care testing, collection and handling of specimens, and\u00A0 phlebotomy, within regulatory guidelines and procedures.\u00A015%
    • Requires active engagement with health promotion efforts to the employee community to help drive health and wellness activities and initiatives. Provides disease management education to varied populations in concert with Total Health guidelines and strategies.\u00A020%
    • Establishes new corporate clinics with non-traditional resources at a non-traditional site by working within constraints of location and space while striving to align with each corporation's goals and needs. \u00A020%

    Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

    This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Master's Degree -\u00A0Nursing; Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent
    • 1 year - Primary Care\u00A0Nursing experience

    Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

    • SC NURSE PRACTITIONER
    • Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License
    • South Carolina Controlled Substance license; Federal DEA license
