Schedule: 7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday
Pay rate: $25 - 29/hr.
Wastewater Operator essential functions:
- Be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Operates to the best possible standards providing uninterrupted operation.
- Monitors wastewater pretreatment systems, ancillary equipment, and the chemical
- composition of the influent, effluent, and internal process streams; makes necessary adjustments to ensure operation is within established guidelines.
- Responds to unscheduled equipment or process failures.
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturers.
- specifications on all systems including belt press, blowers, pumps, valves, and piping.
- Collects and analyzes raw waste, performs chemical and physical analysis. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the composition of the influent, effluent, and internal process streams. Preforms sampling requirements for storm water.
- Maintains cleanliness of wastewater plant.
- Ensures efficient and economical operation of wastewater treatment equipment.
- Completes maintenance records; maintains operating logbooks and databases as required.
- Maintains control of plant tools, manuals, repair parts, assemblies, and consumables.
- Advises the HR Manager of the status of wastewater pretreatment equipment and systems.
