Staff Accountant:

Lennar is seeking a Staff Accountant to be responsible for responsible for the day to day activities of the Finance Department along with corporate requirements and reporting for the division.



Responsibilities

  • Prepares journal entries / accruals for monthly close and ensures proper cut-off procedures are followed for year-end close.
  • Help prepare monthly reporting for processes including interest, depreciation, escrow payments, cost of sales, and taxes.
  • Help prepare quarterly balance sheet packages.
  • Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.
  • Review and prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process deposit entries.
  • Lead or assist with various finance, accounting or other special projects.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting and/or finance
  • 2+ years' experience in an accounting or financial reporting role preferred
  • Real estate and/or construction experience is a plus
  • Advanced Excel Skills, JD Edwards experience and Essbase/Hyperion a plus
