Job Summary
Health Educators work closely with the employee wellness program as well as the corporate wellness programs established within the communities we serve. Health Educators are expected to create and implement programs, coach high risk individuals, lead support groups, teach wellness classes and report outcomes for Prisma Health and corporate wellness. They must model a healthy lifestyle, have a positive attitude, and uphold the Prisma Health corporate values.- Accountabilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
- Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree - Health related field, education, wellness or exercise science
1 year - Health promotion/intervention/education, exercise science, public speaking, health coaching
- Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

- Other Required Sills and Experience
Basic computer skills, Knowledge of office equipment, proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database), Data entry.
Master's degree preferred.
Health education/coaching and/or personal training certification preferred.
Experience in tobacco cessation, weight management and/or coaching preferred.
Knowledge of specific disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, CHF, CVD, COPD, obesity, depression/anxiety, tobacco use, etc preferred.
