Job Description
Responsibilities

Job Summary: Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility. Provides directory information, transfers calls as appropriate. Enters facility directory information into the computer database. Makes general and emergency announcements over the facility's PA system. Handles the facility paging system and the beeper system.


Qualifications

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

  1. Operates an electronic switchboard to route incoming calls and to place outgoing calls.
  2. Able to place long distance calls and conference calls as needed.
  1. Provides directory information to internal and external inquirers.
  2. Maintains current listing of all facility telephone numbers and extensions. Updates the computer database as needed.
  3. Maintains a daily list of all facility staff on-call, including home phone numbers and beeper numbers readily available.
  4. Acts in a professional manner at all times.
  5. Knowledgeable of all departments and services available in the facility.
  6. Knowledgeable of emergency codes to be used overt he PA system.
  7. Excellent customer service skills.
  8. Assists Directors with Copying, faxing, and scanning, document assembly as needed or requested.
  9. Assists Directors with incoming and outgoing mail, postage machine operation, Delivery
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
