Job Summary
Under the direction of the lab manager and medical director, the Cardiac Sonographer performs all echocardiography lab exams. Provides quality patient care using lab physiological and ultrasound equipment. Assists with clinical rotations in both in-patient and out-patient settings as the schedule dictates and participates in after hours and on-call services. All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health\u2019s values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork.Accountabilities

Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree - Graduate of a formal Radiology or Sonography program
1 year echo sonography experience performing non-invasive cardiac ultrasound studies. Will consider clinical rotations during a formal educational program as experience.

In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, 5 years of dedicated cardiac ultrasound experience.
Team members in this job as of 11/08/2020 are grandfathered from the minimum requirements listed above. Additionally, may be grandfathered from obtaining required registration pending state and regulatory requirements.

Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics
Medical terminology preferred
Basic computer skills
