Job Description

This position requires flexibility to shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am and weekends.

The ElectroNeuroDiagnostic Tech I (END Tech I) performs routine electroneurodiagnostic procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient and epilepsy unit setting. Modalities include EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, ERG and IOM. Training on modalities will take place on the job and be provided by a Registered Electroencephalographic and Evoke Technologist (ABRET) registry.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Current CPR certification required

Experience REQUIRED:
Entry level PC and MS Windows Knowledge
Must be proficient in one modality (e.g., EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, etc.) within 6 months of hire date

Experience PREFERRED:
One (1) year of basic medical, patient care related experience

Education/training REQUIRED: (Note: work experience may be considered in lieu of credentials not required by law with HR approval. Work experience must be specific to role)
High School Diploma or equivalent And
Must be enrolled in or have graduated from an electroneurodiagnostic program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or
Actively participate in the ASET training program scoring 80% or better on all tests or
Have at least 6 months of End Tech experience

Education/training PREFERRED:
Graduate of Electroneurodiagnostic Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs

Independent action(s) required:
Takes initiative to acquire and maintain knowledge base. Participates in conferences and technical training.

Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A

Additional position requirements:
Weekends and holiday coverage for the epilepsy monitoring Unit and STAT EEG procedures.
