Primary Responsibilities Planning:

  1. Purchase orders and releases. One time spot or standing release.
  2. Obtain complete description including merge or lot, price, delivery date. Revise and amend original PO if required for price change, merge change, etc.
  3. Maintain updated price list.
  4. Maintain updated vendor list with contact name, number, email address.
  5. Cross train with planners as back up for sickness or vacation. This would include machinery planning.
  6. Issue machinery orders warping/slashing/weaving.
  7. Make daily check of warp storage and draw-in.
  8. Maintain required yarn inventories to support filling.

Primary Responsibilities Inventory:

  1. Coordinate maintenance of inventory (work in process).
  2. Assist in maintenance of raw materials and finished goods.
  3. Receive rolls into QAD from outside processors.
  4. Assist in month end and year in inventories.
  5. Issue purchase orders for offsite processing.
  6. Keep detailed and accurate records of any changes to inventory.
  7. Monitor work orders for accuracy and identify any with significant yardage discrepancies. Research root causes and communicate recommended solutions to plant personnel.
  8. Ensure smooth operation of existing systems to include:
    1. Develop knowledge of plant processes and applications
    2. Support resolution of errors by conducting root cause analysis and recommending/implementing changes to business processes or system configuration as related to inventory control.
  9. Perform additional job-related duties and complete special projects for management as assigned.
  10. Support plant after hours in urgent situations.

Qualifications:

Equivalent work experience or combination of formal training and experience.
