HVAC Manager - U.S. Army base Fort JacksonCompetitive Salary and EMPLOYER PAID INSURANCE!

The HVAC Manager will be responsible for tracking deficiencies of any type on any HVAC/R systems under the care of the company. They must identify the root cause of the problem and develop repair plans. The HVAC Program Manager will monitor all HVAC/R DMOs to identify areas for further investigation and corrective action. In addition, they will manage the PMs, and Task Orders performed on HVAC/R systems. This will result in gaining a deep understanding of the issues that negatively affect HVAC system performance and being able to prescribe corrective measures to eliminate the long-standing and repeated failures of HVAC systems across the footprint. The HVAC Program Manager will manage all the HVAC craftsperson assigned to the contract.

Salary

starting at 85,000 (DOE) plus employer paid insurance

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a small team of subordinate HVAC positions
  • Work on air-cooled chillers, pumps and water systems, and VRF systems
  • Test input & output for voltage on building systems sensors/activators
  • Work on units including: split package, residential style, and up to light commercial, mini-splits, VAV's and AHUs
  • Use a multi-meter to check voltage amp
  • Use a torch for brazing
  • Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates
Essential Skills
  • Thorough understanding of HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems
  • Ability to merge and utilize different building automation systems effectively and stay current with developing technologies.
  • Read schematic diagrams
  • Understand the Refrigeration cycle with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair strategies
  • PRACTICE WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment
    • Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10 years' progressive experience managing the troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R, chiller plants, and building automation systems
  • EPA Universal Refrigeration License
  • Successful completion of a formal program including centrifugal and air-cooled chiller maintenance and repair; heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration; pump repair
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
