Job Description:

We're looking for experienced engineering team leaders and people managers who are relationship-obsessed, drive results and enable their teams to build for technical excellence. As an Engineering Manager at Getida, you will work closely with Engineering and Product Leadership to help shape the future of the engineering organization and product delivery. You will be responsible:

-Manage 2 teams of talented engineers while providing technical leadership and mentorship to both teams. The teams are responsible for building and maintaining Getida's infrastructures, backend & frontend processes, data models, and complex algorithms that support Getida's product suite.

-Foster strong technical practices through code reviews, architectural design collaboration, and security within your team

-Advising the teams in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving software

-Collaborate with Product in setting roadmap and priorities to ensure sprints are aligned with delivering a valuable and delightful customer experience.

-Unblock and empower the team to be agile and high velocity. Be willing to get hands-on with the code when needed.

-Own the responsibility for successful delivery by leading the team in establishing best practices in estimations, story scoping, balancing trade-offs, executing against commitments, increasing accountability, accurately providing estimates, and prioritizing units of work to drive the incremental release of product initiatives.

-You will help Senior Leadership manage engineering risk and make sure we are making the right trade-off decisions

-Keep teams aligned on how their work ties into the overall strategic initiatives of their org and the company. Use fitting opportunities to bring transparency and crisp communication to their team

-Constantly improve team productivity, refine agile processes, and create methods to increase efficiency

-Set best practices, standards, culture, and policies

-Advocate for new technology and new methodologies

-Perform personnel management tasks for a team of developers, including performance reviews, compliance with company policies, mentoring, and planning career growth

-Work with Recruiting and HR departments to conduct interviews and hire new engineers. Actively work to engage and retain the existing talent and experience on the team

-Provide career development, coaching, and mentorship to your direct reports.

-Conduct performance reviews and provide real-time feedback to drive high-

performance

-Continuously learn and expand your capabilities

Requirements

-You have a Bachelor's degree in STEM preferred.

-You have 3-5+ years of relevant development experience in a start-up

environment

-You have 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager

-You can work across multiple teams and with multiple stakeholders in the

organization

-You have a proven track record of successful deliveries and cross-functional

collaboration

-You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

-You have prior experience in a product-oriented development environment

-You have experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools and

front-end testing frameworks

-You have experience building enterprise products in highly regulated

environments with low-risk tolerance is highly preferred

-You have excellent written and oral business communication and people skills,

with the ability to influence stakeholders, including technical leaders and

Executive management

-You have experience in coaching and mentoring Software Engineers

-You have experience in building empowered teams and processes

-You have experience working with remote teams

-Have a great sense of humor

This position is a remote role with potential travel to Teaneck, NJ.

Salary Description
180,000-210,000
