Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Director of Engineering to join our Day & Zimmermann team.

Accountable for all engineering functions within Maintenance & Construction. Responsible for providing technical resources as necessary to support the Business Development and Operational/Project needs for the planning, management and execution of projects within engineering. Broad base of project execution knowledge and experience for EP and EPC projects.

As the Director of Engineering, here's the work you'll do:

* Direct and manage the office workload for engineering. Ensure sufficient EPC competencies and capabilities to respond to current and expanding markets and workload. Manage non-billable time and costs within the annual budget

* Responsible for all engineering activity (cost, schedule, quality, utilization, recruiting etc.) in assigned office and/or site. Ensure appropriate staffing is available for all projects within the office and/or site

* Assist business development in proposal preparation and market sectors in strategic planning. Maintain skills, certifications and PE license matrix for engineering

* Drive innovation across engineering in execution and technology. Actively develop, recruit and maintain subject matter experts in current and expanding markets

* Provide discipline, direction and focus in support of business needs. Drive the definition and use of established standard procedures within disciplines measuring progress and rewarding success

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Broad base of knowledge in engineering and design across all disciplines

* Broad base of project execution knowledge and experience for EP only and EPC projects

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

And if you have these qualifications:

* Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering

* 15+ years of experience

* Registered PE or 20+ years of experience

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $163,680 - $245,520. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
