Here's how you will impact Ingevity:

The Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified jobs to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment at the Marion, IN plant. Primary responsibilities will include and not be limited to:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled/scheduled repairs and maintenance and preventative maintenance of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as needed on the equipment.
  • Provide a variety of plumbing, welding, and carpentry functions as required.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Promote and champion area safety activities.
  • Ensure environmental compliance.
  • Work closely with scheduling, quality and shipping to ensure quality product and on-time delivery.

Here is what you'll need to succeed in this role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate level degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3+ years industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the company to achieve results.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Willingness to work 40-60 hours a week, including Saturdays, as needed.
  • Report directly to the Plant Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
