Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Reports directly to the Director of Internal Audit and Corporate Governance, SVP. The Audit Associate will assist in the planning and/or execution of audits across different business units. Assist in organizing and maintaining documents to support the corporate governance framework.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in preparation for Bank audits and reviews and throughout the audit process.
  • Track management's responses for all Bank audits and reviews.
  • Assist the independent third-party audit firms as needed.
  • Upload audit requests to digital materials platforms.
  • Update Internal Control Assessments documentation regarding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Assist with policy approval process for Bank policies.
  • Prepare meeting materials required for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Upload of Board and Committee meeting materials and documents to digital materials platform.
  • Process Word and Excel documents and PowerPoint slides per comments received by Management team.
  • Scan documents to maintain electronically.
  • Assist with scheduling of meetings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR DETAILS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College Diploma or equivalent audit experience preferred.
  • One year of audit experience desired.
  • Must be able to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts to prepare and present reports.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Computer skills with windows-based office programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse audiences, including Board, Management, and regulatory.
  • Preferred knowledge in the application of internal auditing theory, standards, procedures, and techniques.
  • Preferred knowledge of banking rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Successful completion of all training deemed necessary by the Bank.
  • Demonstrates and behaves in accordance with the principles of transparency and accountability in accordance with laws, state and organizational policies and procedures.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • The working conditions are almost exclusively inside the Bank.
  • This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as position involves majority of time spent at desk and computer.
