The Maintenance Planning Analyst:

  • Maintains equipment and system performance (repairs, continuous improvements/ optimizations, & new installations, etc. to include multiple conveyor technologies, monitoring/information systems, and all process equipment).
  • Recommends improvements and works with more experienced team members to initiate process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintains existing maintenance process, equipment, and systems. Supports maintenance key performance indicators for the department.
  • Assists with proposals for the adaptation of IH structures, triggered by changes in the product, process, structure and / or environment (milestone plans, cost estimations (Invest, Budget), technical specifications, request for quotations, and option evaluations).
  • Ensures all assigned projects are on schedule and at or under approved budget (Assembly variance to budget).
  • Assists with root cause determinations for equipment/system performance gaps and the optimum solutions in regard to costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation, and environment. Plans maintenance measures (repairs, maintenance, fault recertification, alterations, optimizations, component detachments, etc.) to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Maintains hazard analyzes or risk assessments for processes, equipment, and systems. Identifies and brings forward necessary changes according to the BMW Group standards and Best Practices.
  • Evaluates, coordinates and compiles potential suppliers, calls for bids, offer evaluation, technical recommendation, acceptance of the equipment from the suppliers, and handing over to the operations.
  • Delivers and/or updates of Preventative Maintenance plans, documentation (electronic and hard copy), training/work instructions, and spare parts including min/max levels.
  • Assists with developing measures and concepts for the further development and stabilization of existing maintenance processes.
  • Collaborates with internal and external process partners and suppliers.
  • Generates management project status reports as required.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • AA/AS degree in Technical, Manufacturing, Logistics or related field OR the equivalent of 2 years related professional experience in a
    manufacturing maintenance role.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
  • 2+ years maintenance experience (preventive maintenance practices, shutdown/startup management, mechanical/electrical and controls/software optimization).
  • 2+ years problem solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • 2+ years EPLAN, SAP, IPST or similar CMMS systems (preferred).
  • 2+ years of risk management strategy and practices related to plant and equipment.
  • 2+ years of quality management methods and practices related to plant and equipment related reliability.
  • 2+ years project management in manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • 2+ years knowledge of technical drawings and specifications.
  • 3+ years of MS Office skills.
  • 3+ years of written and verbal communication skills.
