About this Position:

Using knowledge of manufacturing process, develop work instructions for safe and efficient processes and workflows to support the assembly of Honda Power Sprots equipment including using analytical tools and hands on expertise to maximize production line efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

* Develop work instructions consistent with current factory characteristics to create balanced processes that meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.

* Audit existing processes to confirm accuracy and efficiency.

* Identify opportunities to reduce waste within process to improve efficiency.

* Support new product introduction and development during events of limited manufacturing lots both onsite and offsite.

* Train the Trainer activity to convey process change points and updates to New Model and Department trainers.

* Collect and evaluate associate input and feedback to improve manufacturing capability and efficiency. This also includes incorporating new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations.

* Read and understand parts drawings, specification updates, and 3D Catia data to forecast design change impact to department and incorporate change points into process design.

* Evaluate and implement ergonomic and safety countermeasures to prevent associate injury and improve process safety rank.

* Assist in the development of New Tools, Jigs & Fixtures related to process needs.

Who we are seeking:

Required Experience:

* 0-6 years of experience

* Additional years of experience may be required based on education.

Required Education:

* Associate degree in an Engineering or Technical Field (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing) or equivalent experience.

Other job specific skills:

* Strong communication skills: verbal and written

* Proficiency with Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint

* Communicating changes to others

* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

* Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision

* Must be able and willing to work flexible hours and weekends on short notice

* Must be available for occasional travel (Domestic and International)

* Occasional overtime may be required without advance notice.

Additional Position Factors:

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as an individual or part of a team to manager parallel projects while working with minimal supervision.

* Must have the ability and willingness to work additional overtime hours without advanced notice with potential travel on short notice.

* Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends when needed to maintain schedule.
