Position Summary

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts using multiple tools and ERP's
  • Communications (verbal and written) to customers to;
    • collect payment of delinquent accounts
    • advance collection requests in accordance with due dates required for cash forecasting purposes.
    • Follow up of payment arrangements
  • Performs account reconciliations and analysis
  • Prepare and provide statements, invoices, and other reports/documents to recommend appropriate actions on customer accounts
  • Resolves client-billing problems, troubleshooting and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss/escalate to management and/or internal sales staff.
  • Review and research assigned accounts for application of unapplied cash and deposits.
  • Enforces adherence to corporate collection policies and procedures
  • Perform other activities as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma

Experience: Minimum 2 years in of corporate business to business collections experience including interaction with a large customer base.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a focus on Excel
  • Preferred experience of Oracle EBS 12
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency and be a team player
  • Ability to deliver difficult news diplomatically
  • Ability to be assertive when reasoning and negotiating with customers
  • Ability to apply fundamental accounting knowledge to daily transactions
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively managing time
  • An aptitude to learn new computer programs
  • Demonstrated communication skills (including active listening, writing, and emotional intelligence)
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use discretion, and make sound judgment

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.

Work Conditions: Generally, work in an office environment. No travel is expected.
