Overview

VTG is seeking Project Manager in Charleston, SC to manage IT Integration projects supporting the US Navy.


What will you do?

  • Reviews complicated project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work schedule and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree and six years related experience and/or training; or Associate's degree and eight year; or High School Diploma plus ten years' experience of direct work experience with C4ISR installations.
  • Eight years' experience in managing or performing design, implementation, testing, inspection, logistics, resource management, and completion of C4ISR system installation efforts for Department of Defense shore sites.
  • Four years as manager of U.S. Navy shore installation projects involving multiple systems and in performing tasks.
  • Prior defense contracting or military experience preferred.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Secret security clearance, valid driver's license

Other Qualifications

  • Approximately 20% travel is required.
