Job Responsibilities
Support the plant Instrumentation & Electrical system preventative maintenance programs for all production equipment including equipment calibration. Assist plant operations, engineers, and maintenance team members in tasks or troubleshooting involving equipment reliability and performance improvements.
Work with Production Engineering, Quality, and other related departments to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Calibrate, test, inspect, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic devices (PLCs, transmitters, controllers, etc.)
Diagnose and repair electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls.
Responsible for computer-driven control system and related devices
Install, configure, and maintain variable frequency drives.
Evaluate performance and reliability of prototype and actual equipment during operation production models.
Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and major equipment repairs (e.g., electrical and mechanical)
Assist in the design, engineering, and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
Assist in writing JSA's.
Follow safety procedures, rules and work in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical School training or certificate preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' instrumentation and electrical experience required.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70e
Ability to use calibration, electrical, infrared, and ultrasonic testing equipment
Strong equipment / process technical knowledge
Knowledge of DeltaV DCS
Knowledge of Factory Talk software including minor programing changes and RSLogix 5000
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, Excel, Word, Outlook
Able to attend training classes to keep current and new technologies
Strong troubleshooting skills
Able to perform mathematical equations necessary for position's essential duties
Must be able to work within a team group environment to perform maintenance task
Able to read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic
Good communication skills
Chemical manufacturing industry experience
