CDI is currently hiring for the position of Machine Operator on our 1st Shift, at our facility located in Rock Hill, SC.
Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is the bending, cutting, fabricating, and folding of sheet metal to create components used to assemble the finished product. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the production area.

CDI is currently hiring for the position of Machine Operator on our 1st Shift, at our facility located in Rock Hill, SC.
Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is the bending, cutting, fabricating, and folding of sheet metal to create components used to assemble the finished product. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the production area.
Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of laser, press brake/turret machine and various other tools used to complete project
- Create quality and accurate cuts/bends/folds according to blueprints.
- Inspect work for accuracy.
- Follow and enforce all CDI safety rules and regulations
- Ensure equipment is properly set-up & used in a safe manner & that all safety devices are in use.
- Operate fork lift, if required and certified.
- Performs inspections on product before, during, and after the build following CDI’s standards.
- Monitor functionality of equipment and tools and request maintenance when required.
- Perform basic and preventative maintenance and repair as required.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedules
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1-year experience operating laser, press brake/turret or other metal fabrication tools
- Excellent knowledge of fabrication machinery, electrical equipment, and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to use tape measures and other measuring tools
- Read and understand work orders and job schedules
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to effectively read, write and speak the English language
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and lift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, & lift 70 pounds occasionally
