What you will do


Support the Opportunity Desk with in-depth analysis including competitive effect of bundling, competitive trends by product, situational effects on competitiveness and market share growth opportunity gaps. Optimize factory cost across opportunity portfolio. Interface with product teams and own current factory leadtimes and factory loading data. Gather data on closed jobs assuring the most robust understanding of why we win and lose. Use the data to provide the most current impact factors. Ultimately be a part of the team that co-own the successful win of every opportunity where the Opportunity Desk provides advice. Channel responsibility includes sales of applied and commercial equipment through the Building Solutions branch channel via direct sales people and Agents.

How you will do it

  • Work as an integral part of the team to build an atmosphere of trust and partnership with Sales Reps, Agents, Local and Area leaders, BPL’s, RSM’s
  • Partner with HVAC Market Experts to provide analysis and support
  • Work closely with non-Applied factories to understand pricing trends for each market
  • Submit and process IPA’s, SPA’s when needed
  • Compile pricing data for multiple product categories into blended pricing levels for opportunities with bundled scopes of work
  • Conduct post-mortem on closed projects, building crucial market intelligence related to reasons won or lost. Analyze this data to determine high-running drivers and trends. Propose corresponding actions that will grow margins and market share.
  • Analyze AHRI market share data to determine competitive insights and propose pricing actions
  • Partner with Product Managers to understand current lead times and factory loading on all products

Qualifications

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction sales or supporting construction sales
  • Analytical aptitude
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales reps, Local and Area Leaders, BSNA Leadership, Global Products
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence others
