Position Description

Purchasing New Model /Co-op/Intern

Department Overview

New Model Purchasing willexpose you to logistics, negotiating and concept development. You will bechallenged to work to your capabilities and be exposed to actual manufacturingconditions and linkage to company business direction and logistics developmentstrategies. You will also experience the ability to lead small projects orparticipate in larger projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Participate in and/or lead department projects

* Gain a working knowledge of plant, departmentpurpose, customers, daily responsibilities and workflows

* Gather data as needed to help with problemsolving

* Track/document data

* Presenting findings or recommendations to membersof leadership

DailyTasks

* Attend /participate in Department meetings

* Associateand/or vendor interactions

* Practice "Goto the Spot" approach when researching/solving problems

* Partner withidentified department mentor

* Data Collection

* Project work

* Presentation preparation

* Awareness of any safety hazards and reportingof any safety concerns

Required Skills

* Can effectively communicate with otherdepartments to achieve project requirements (schedule, task, direction, etc.)

* Strong analytical skills (logical thoughtprocess)

* Curiosity and problem solving skills

* Detail oriented and intensity towards accuracy

* Timemanagement and problem solving skills

* Abilityto adapt to changing priorities while still achieving deadlines

* Proficientin Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook)

* Basicknowledge of All Terrain Vehicles is a plus

* Requiredsystem knowledge (ie. Catia, Servers, Blue Print Reading, Be able to understandBill of Material, etc)

RequiredJob Relevant Experience

* Completion of at least two semesters at atwo/four year college or trade school

* Knowledge of Supply Chain and/or Packagingoperations

Degree/EducationalRequirement

* Actively pursuing two/four year degree

* Knowledge of Packaging Engineering

AdditionalWork Factors:

* Maybe asked to support flexible work schedules including shifts as necessary

* Mustbe willing to travel as required

* AnticipatedTravel: Domestic 10%, International 0%

* Mustbe able to work overtime as necessary to support department needs (short-termand/or scheduled

* Estimatedamount of overtime: 1-2 hours per week

* Knowledgeof transportation and other logistics operations
