Position

CEMS is seeking a qualified individual to serve in the role of Project Coordinator in our Summerville, SC office. Working under the Project Manager, the project coordinator plays a vital role in delivering projects on time with a high level of quality to ensure satisfied customers and repeat business. Working closely with Project Managers, Design Professionals and other operations staff, the project coordinator has the responsibility to ensure delivery of projects that are complete, accurate, and adhere to project plans and scopes of work.

This position is located in our Summerville, SC office which is 20 minutes from downtown Charleston.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel & Word
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collectively and independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction to given assignments, handle multi-tasking, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work well with all Project Team participants
  • Valid driver's license
  • Some travel may be required
Desired experience:
  • Associates Degree in engineering, architecture or related discipline
  • Experience with SpecsIntact, Masterspec, or other Specifications software
  • Experience with MS Project, Primavera, or other scheduling software, and PowerPoint
  • 5+ years' experience in architecture, engineering, or construction related field
  • DoD, Military, or other Federal project experience a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Managers in executing assigned projects to meet established costs, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Works in coordination with Project Manager and BIM/CADD Coordinator to manage non-drawing related project management documents (ie. Specifications, Design Narratives, Supporting Documents, etc.)
  • Assists in preparation of documents for QA/QC reviews and client deliverables
  • Assists in the preparation of meeting minutes, project memos, meeting preparation documents, etc.
