Job Description:

Summary:

Throughout your 10 week internship, you will work with the Custom Sourcing Solutions Technology Manager and leadership team to assess and develop a portal to provide visibility of our enhanced member specific "value" to Vizient's national sourcing teams.

What we will do:

We will assign you a specific project that will allow you work with our Custom Sourcing Solutions team and the National Sourcing teams, learning how to bridge the gap that will provide directions on how to enhance the value of all of Vizient sourcing opportunities.

We will provide training on how to utilize our analytical tools and work cross functionally with our internal business partners.

We will provide you with exposure to many aspects of the healthcare supply chain process. Working with the top sourcing executives, you can expect to participate in meetings, meet with senior leaders and gain a firm understanding of needs and deliverables.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the Custom Sourcing Team and National Sourcing team to gain understanding of Custom Sourcing Member Value
  • Learn how to utilize specific sourcing analytical tools
  • Participate various meeting to gain an understanding of the project
  • Learn now to build consensus on best practices

What you will need:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree or graduate degree in healthcare or supply chain preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with clients, members, and suppliers; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be available to work consistently for the 10 week program

Key Program Information

The program requires a full ten week commitment by the intern to participate in all developmental experiences including formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders. The Intern group also organizes a summer community service project and has teambuilding activities outside of work.

  • Program starts June 4 and ends August 10
  • 40 hrs per week and pay is $24 per hour
