Amazon's growing Sales Program is looking for sales interns to drive success and growth within key Amazon business groups. S/he is a strong communicator, effective listener and able to balance multiple and often conflicting priorities.

Sales opportunities will be available in multiple Amazon businesses and locations including,but not limited to, the businesses below. Applicants placed into the selection process will be provided information on the business considering them.

Amazon Web Services is focused on engaging with customers that are reinventing their IT strategy by adopting cloud computing. Interns will gain business savvy, sales experience, and the technical expertise necessary to help further establish Amazon as a leading cloud platform provider. The internship will provide interns with the AWS knowledge, tools, and techniques they need to become highly effective at creating new conversations within a target market and converting them into new opportunities.

Amazon Media Group (AMG) Amazon's advertising platform, is recruiting for their Associate Account Executive (AAE) internship program. Interns will learn about the digital advertising industry and how it relates to a dynamic ecommerce environment. Interns will receive training and coaching from some of the most innovative minds in the industry, develop Amazon business acumen and will be responsible for sales deliverables. Interns will help make an immediate impact by working with Account Executives in the Inside Sales Organization at AMG. This is an exciting professional development opportunity in one of the fastest growing (and fun) businesses at Amazon.com.

Responsibilities may include:
* Utilize Sales CRM tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress
* Analyze sales/metrics data from a territory to help evolve sales strategy
* Cold-call prospective customers
* Suggest process improvements and assist internal partners to drive them to completion
* Learn to Initiate prospecting and lead generation activities
* Educating and networking with key prospect and customer contacts
* Differentiate and understand various IT roles and responsibilities.
* Identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence
* Actively penetrate whitespace accounts to provide access for our sales teams.
* Collaborate with various sales team members to create innovative prospecting approaches.
* Achieve activity targets from assigned territory or set of accounts.

Locations for this position will be in Seattle and other US based locations.

* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree program in business or a related field
* Work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment
* Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word)
* Must be able to work 40 hours a week throughout the course of the 12 week internship
* Willing to relocate to Seattle or other Amazon location during the summer

* Selling experience, preferably in business to business or technology sales.
* Undergraduate with GPA of 3.0 or greater.
* Competence developing and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences.
* Skilled in prospecting technique and/or cold-calling
* Experience with Salesforce.com
