Heather Wentler, Founder of the Doyenne Group, graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education. After working for a school district, she found it too restraining and decided to start a business called Fractal, helping kids reach their potential through hands-on, S.T.E.A.M. enrichment programming. She also organizes a micro-granting event called Madison SOUP which provides instant available funds for projects and businesses working to create a positive impact in the Madison, Wisconsin community. While navigating her journey as an entrepreneur, Heather noticed she was one of the only women attending networking and other community events. While asking herself and hearing others say, "Where are all the women," she co-founded The Doyenne Group, a networking and mentoring group for women entrepreneurs.

The Doyenne Group mission is to support women as they develop as entrepreneurs, found and build their ventures, and become more engaged in the broader entrepreneurial community. Through monthly meetings and other special events, they design social spaces where women talk with each other about their experiences, get greater clarity on who they are and what they do as entrepreneurs, and push themselves outside their comfort zone to build ventures that have impact. They are committed to challenging women to reach their fullest potential as entrepreneurs and leaders in their communities.
